oil pressure gauge

ive heard a lot of rumors that GM has had a lot of problems with the oil pressure gauges not working. mine is pegged. im wondering if there is a problem with the gauge or the oil pressure sending unit.

almost everyone has a bad oil pressure gauge by now. mine doesnt work at all, always jumped around from 0 to max or just not moving at all, and its a 1990. 99% of the time its the sending unit that fails, not the actual guage.

yea, sending unit is about 20.00 and is located next to the oil filter....change it and you'll be fine.
