Anything can be made fast if gone about properly and the right amount of $$$ laid out.

For 99.99% of the people in this forum, it's not practical (or affordable).

2.8's are liked by dirt track guys.

As for the answer, there's always going to be some backwoods ******* know-it-all who thinks that he is the Engine ***. For the right amount of money, ANYTHING can be made quick. He's probably just wanting to sell you a whole bunch of **** so that you can run high 14's which is what the TPI guys are doing stock (most anyways)

The LC1 is the carb'd 2.8 & he can make it run 14 secs in a quarter.
Sure.
Even Grumpy Jenkins couldn't make his early carb'd 2.8 mills with one off intakes & cams & headers run that fast.
I know there's good $hit available in Canada, I've seen some of their women!
This person must smoke some better $hit than others!

Tell the guy to give you the phone number of this 14-second 2.8. I'm sure he's lost the phone number, and the guy moved away, so he doesn't have the address, but it doesn't matter anyway, because the car was stolen, and all the pictures of it were in the back seat, so when the theives crashed the car and it caught fire, all the pictures melted. The receipts got damaged by a leaky can of oil above his cash register, and the supplier he dealt with is out of business so he can't get the part #s. But hey, it was the fastest third gen ever, and he helped build it. Yeah, right.
