Dounut shaped magnet on a piece of spring?- good luck, otherwise you will have to take the intake apart more.
In my haste helping one of my brothers with his Vette years ago, I dropped one of his pushrods(Unguided off course- I learned that real quick) down under his intake- I was just about ready to go out to dinner with my (Now )wife when I turned to her and said "whoops, you may want to go without me, I'm going to be here a while" You never forget those stupid little mistakes in life- thats how we learn to be more careful. Sorry, wish you luck.

don't know what kinda space there is where you dropped it into....one thing i've used before is a metal rod (about 2 ft long) with a little claw at the end...you can stick it down somewhere tight, and can push in a button at the top that closes the claw....it's only about $5, but sorry I don't know where I got it, I've just had it. you can ask around about this item, i'm sure somebody else out there has it and knows where to get it. you can make a cheap one yourself by getting a metal (or wood, plastic, etc.) rod and attatching a paper clip at the end, folded out so it has a hook. then try to hook the cap. these are my best ideas, hope they help. i've dropped many screws down in hard to reach places, and once, while using carb cleaner, the straw got sucked into the carb!! hope ya get it out w/o too much trouble, i know your situation is a b****..
