confused: somtimes really low idle.

ive got a 87 v6 MPFI, every once and awhile when the motor is hot after drivin for a bit, it idles reeeeally low...almost to point of staling, but my car seems to pick that up somtimes, it will start to idle real low...sputter very little...then somthing kicks in and the idle is back to normal. It goes through this just about every time i stop after goin for a lil bit...was wondering if anyone could help.

p.s.
my car is up to date on minor and major tune ups, new tranny, new O2 sensor, my comp code only reads code 34: MAF probs...but i really dont want to spend 90 bucks on a new MAF...any ideas if it could be somthing less expensive.
thanks
smurf

I get that now too.
Mine started AFTER I REPLACED MY ALTERNATOR AS IT WAS OVERCHARGING & FRYING THE ICM's.
I really feel like jsut replacing it, but.....
Wish I knew that the result of the frying MAS was also caused by the overcharging alternator.

I want someone to tell me, yeah, chain effect, ICMs fried by spiking alternator charge, which also fried the MAS.
Atleast I can get my MAS for free "warranty".
Might as just as well do so.
No one here can tell me if my theory is true.
