Pulldown motor problems.
Ok, help me out here... I'm searching, but coming up short.
My pulldown motor for the hatch just keeps pushing up. There is a metal plate on top of the plastic motor housing that has come off, does this need to stay on? It's off to the point I can slide it up, and pull the motor out with no problem. If I press the little tab down on the locking mechanism, the motor stops, but I can't seem to get it to go back down. Any ideas?

that metal plate definitely needs to stay secure. is the plastic where it screws into stripped/cracked?? mine was pretty bad. get a new housing.
