red fluid is one of 2 things. It's either Trans fluid if you have an auto, or it might be from the Power steering. I think the P/S unit uses auto trans fluid. Thoses are the only 2 things I can think of that use red fluid. Probably P/S pump or lines leaking, unless you have a trans cooler.

That would be automatic tranny fluid. Power Steering doesn't go near the radiator, esp on the pass side of the bay.
Power steering takes power steering fluid, not dextron 2-3-4. Or I have yet to see one that does.
You can try and carefully tighten the nut as it is prob made of aluminum and could strip easy.

I've heard of people putting automatic trans fluid in their power steering- but I don't think I've heard of people on thirdgen.org doing it. It might be a ford thing?
I just wonder how that line got loose, icebird... were you doing any work in that area recently? Check the level of your automatic trans fluid, hopefully you didn't lose a bunch... but you should check anyway. You don't want to run low on trans fluid. Remember to check it with the fluid hot and the engine running (stick in Park, with the wheels blocked).

If the fluid had a brownish tint to it, it may be time to change it and the transmission filter as well. Just a thought.

I have used Tranny fluid in the power steering pump of several of my vehicles in the past. They have similar fluid properties and are about the same viscosity. Tranny fluid also costs about 1/2 what power steering fluid does. I have used it in my Toyota truck, both when it was a toyota 4 cylinder, and after converting it to a V8, in my old farm truck, and even in my Ford 6600 tractor. I have never had a problem using it in anything of mine.
