A/C oil charge
Anybody ever try these 1 fl oz oil charges that you screw onto the low pressure side, then using a wrench on the end to push in the lubercation?
I can only offer this.
I rebuilt the AC system last year.
New condensor, compressor, orrifice tube.
I use R12 stuff, the real thing for my 1985 car.
I also purchased a quart of the AC oil, thinking I should put some in & such.
When my system was refilled by the R12, I asked about additional oil, since all is fresh & new.
I was told that R12 has the oil added/mixed in, already.
Hope that gives some clue for your situation

Well my system is sealed and is all orginal at 11 years 95,000 miles and would like to keep it running that way. I've added a can or two thru the years and saw these oil charges made for systems that have noise compressors (my runs great no problem and thats awsome considering it's Houston Texas where it's 95 avg with 90% humity in the summer)or that you can add to a sealed system.
Yes you can buy the oil charge can with R-12 (8oz can) but thats for use with a new system. If you system is still going you can use these small 1 oz charges
I was just wondering if anybody had used one. Also i'm told that any slow over the years leaking doesn't take the oil with it so just wondering.
If you had your system filled by a shop KED85 they either put the oil in from a quart or the oil charge can. Then 3.2 lbs of liquid R-12
R-414B is AWSOME if you ever go that way, total compatible and 12% more efficent then R-12
R-134 sucks

FAST RS did you change your expansion orifice to the 134a conversion orifice?
You must live in a cooler less humidity climate because 134a is 20% LESS efficient on heat pick up then R-12. (science facts from hot shots web site)

I agree. R-12 will freeze your nuts off. R-134a will only slightly chill them.
