Ok here it is. With a 3.4 how much power will I make with 1.6:1 roller rockers and a performance cam (if there is such a thing for the engine). And where can I get them (links please). Thanks

you can get bigger cams for the 3.4, from either crane or comp cams. They each make 1/6 rockers also, just depends on whether you spend $110 for roller tips, or $300 for full rollers. Jegs, P.A.W>, summit, etc.. all carry these rockers, just have to call up & ask for it.

btw, the stock 3.4 cam is the same as the crate motor & H.P. replacemetn in the GMPP catalog.

What would the difference be between full rollers and roller tips.

If I were to get the powermax 2030 cam would I need to get all those other valvetrain components that they list or are those just suggested accessories.

IF ya spend the MEASLY $6.95 by going to ANY GM DEALER to obtain the
GM PERFORMANCE PARTS BOOK
Examining the 60* section you'll find the 3.4 mill & the GM cam up grade for the 2.8-3.1.
That cam is the CRANE 203 as CRANE made/makes it for GM.
THE ONLY WAY you'll get this 200 HP is thru lots of contacts for exhaust & air inlet people.
Serious
The BIGGEST 3.4 power restriction is the factory only option street legal exhaust set up allowed.
CLUE
the 3.4 exhaust "Y" pipe from the 1993-95 FBODY is a great upgrade provided ya tweek it for better fit.
I know that's what I'm doing.
HOW MUCH FACTORY HP
Brochure say 160-165 HP & 200 FOOT POUNDS OF TORQUE
AND I LOVE BIG NUMBERED TORQUE!
THE BEST WAY to get the best HP under hood is to go BRAND NEW
NO ONE YET has done a 3.4 CRATE ENGINE SWAP BOOGIE!
All us have done used running mills from the $ range of $210 to $800/$900 (last two $$ my costs).
I buy low milage 3.4 mills (44K & 50K).
NEW is $1800
Can't purchase parts, 3.4 engine & machine labor for the $1800!
BARGIN!
Good luck with your choices
I highly recommend this 3.4 option to everyone who TRULY LOVES THEIR CAR & can afford the $$ for the effort.
3.4 SWAP BOOGIE IS SO WORTH IT!
