Swapping to a 4th gen rear...

I'm gonna go get that 4th gen disc rear end from the boneyard. 3.42 gear, LSD rear end.

What will I need to pull my rear end out (done it before) and stuff this one up into it? I'm getting the rear end for $125, so I figure it's worth it just for the LSD.

I guess I should say... what do I need to make it work?

and you'll need a new proportioning valve, try to steal it from the same car you get the rear out of.

I'm lookin for a 4th gen rear, If I go to a bone yard, what do I search for, how do I know it is 3.42's. Which models had those? or what rpo code do I look for? or is it stamped on the rear end case?

Hey, do they have another one? I'd drive to Ocala for that!
