fiero valve covers
At the risk of somebody stealing these out from under me...
Are these the valve covers that I would need if I put in 1.6 roller rockers?

Look for them in junkyards and at any Fiero Specialty business. There is one in North Alabama called the Fiero Factory. I don't have a number for them, but when I went down there they had complete Fiero 2.8 liter engines laying all over the place, and about 3 times that many that had been parted out. They said that they do a lot of 3.4 liter and Cadillac 4.5 liter V8 swaps into the Fieros. I bought a decent set of valve covers from them with the hold down bolts for $20. I thought about getting a Fiero plenum/upper runners, and welding the neck from one of our engines onto it. It would look cool, but would be a lot of work for just a visual improvement.

I always got such a kick out of this.. I've seen SOOOOO many Fieros get squashed in the junkyard... I even personally have several Fiero valve covers (among other things) in my storage unit. I've never once thought about how the valve covers on my Fiero might be worth something to a non Fiero owner.

Tell you what Damien,
I'll go to the junkyard this weekend (need some other stuff). I'll pick up a set for you... BUT... you have to mail me, a pre-addressed, stamped box... and you pay for what it cost me to get it (I'll let you know when I get it).
It's SUCH a pain in the butt to ship stuff, that the only way I'll do it is if you ship ME a box, with a box in it, so that all I have to do is take the valve covers, drop them into a box, and drop it off at the post office.

I don't think that statement is accurate. It has been researched by people on this board many times, and a couple of people have even bought a fiero throttle body to see. They are exactly the same size, although the Fiero one is made by Holley. They will not bolt together with our throttle bodies because of the location of the brackets and the cables.
The neck of the Fiero upper intake runners/plenum will also hit the air conditioning compressor, since it juts to the right. That is why I was saying it would be cool to use a Fiero upper plenum (which looks waaaay cooler than the ones on the Firebirds and Camaros)and weld the neck or a piece of aluminum tubing onto the front to make it work and fit right. Like I said, it would be a lot of work, but would look really cool with the Fiero Valve covers.
Another idea I had was to take the factory steel exhaust manifolds from a Fiero and use them in fabricating a turbo setup for our cars. It would be a lot easier to use those, since the flanges are already cut, and you could cut and weld the new tubes where you needed them.
I always like to see what parts of another car I can adapt to use in something that I have been working on. Unfortunately, the above mentioned things are about all that I can think of that can be used on a 3rd gen from a Fiero that would be any improvement or be helpful.

The throttle body is larger, stock it's a 52mm, from what I understand the factory size for the camaro / firebird is 49mm (correct me if I'm wrong).

From What I understand... The Fiero throttle body is the exact same size as the Firebird 2.8 and 3.1 liter one. The Firebird 2.8 liter cars also had 15 pound injectors, from what I understand. The 3.1 liter had 16 pound injectors, and the 3.4 liter had 17 pound injectors. The 305s had 19 pound injectors or something like that. I don't think that there was very much different between the two engines, internally. They may have had a better cam and slightly higher compression, and I don't know anything about the valve sizes. I would think that they would be pretty similar, since it would be far less expensive to produce a lot more of the same exact parts. The Fiero was quite different from anything else, so I could be wrong. I still stand by what I said about the throttle body bore, though.
The one thing that I do know is that the only true bolt-on part from a Fiero into a Firebird 2.8 or 3.1 liter engine bay is the aluminum valve covers, so the rest is really arguing about something that isn't too terribly important, as far as Camaro and Firebird V6 owners are concerned.

In my 2.8 (now a 3.2), I have a set of 19lb injectors, along with a bunch of other stuff..

Oh yeah.. the 13lb injectors on the 2.8 f-body and the 15lb injectors on the Fiero are both the same "style" they are the "pintle" type. While the 15lb injectors on the 3.1 f-body are the new multitech style ones with the self cleaning disk.
