Did a lil work on the car (SFC's do help)

So I decided to do my brakes, and I even did the NON-Ghetto thing and get my rotors turned. I used Bendix CT3 Ceramic pads, and I used some cheap shoes on the rear considering they're hardly used anyways.

However, when I jacked the car up, I first jacked up the front left and put a jackstand underneath. When jacking up the front right (a little bit further towards the rear than the first stand) even the left rear tire was off the ground I jacked up the RR and left the jack there. All 4 tires were off the ground.

I also put my STB on the car. (Jamex) Can't tell as much of a difference as I did with the V6, but still a difference was noticeable.

Yay!

Waiting on AGood2.8 to tell me if the brakes are decent or not.

BTW, AGood....I went with Kumho Ectsa 711's this time on the tires because I was broke. Yah...I'll never do that again. My BALD GSC's held the road a hell of a lot better than these.

I have never used those pads and have never heard any imput of them (good or bad). They are ceramic so they must be much better than stock.

I just put some Kumho STX's on my truck last month (H rated 275/60-15's) and I must say I am happy with them. The still aren't quite as good as the DISCONTINUED BFG Comp T/A HR4's I use to run for years in that size But these Kumho's are very decent for the truck.

Let's put it this way, with the limited suspension mods I do have, I've got to worry about my tires (esp the front) not grabbing and instead pushing through a turn more than anything else.

Don't know what type of shock/struts you are running but if you don't have a set of really good roadrace shocks then I would strongly advise that suggestion for your next purchase- Stiffer shocks with lots of rebound in the rear will slow weight transfer and help it respond more into corners.

I'm more into drag racing, but this car is also my DD. I want some shocks/struts that are pretty good all across the board.

Plus I'm too scared to pull some of that high speed cornering **** on the roads. I've seen what it does

What's the part # of those bendix pads? I run the Bendix MKD-154's... didn't know they made a ceramic. Those have to heat up first before you can actually stop well, right? Like, I couldn't shoot out of my driveway in the morning, and expect to stop at the stop sign?

Don't exactly know on the part number. I went to Advanced Auto and asked what the most expensive pad they had was. They stop fine in the morning, but REALLY well once they heat up.

(laughs) I just re-read this message, and you know, I've never gotten my rotors turned. Went to get 'em turned once, the guy took 'em, went to the machine, came back in a minute, threw 'em on the counter and yelled "We can't turn these!! They're way too thin!" You'd think I'd screwed his wife or something. Took 'em home and measured 'em with a micrometer, yeah, they were a hundreth or two below spec. So I replaced them with brand new rotors from a junkyard car that had "engine n.g" written across the windshield. Poor guy; the rotors and pads (which I didn't take) were brand new, must've dumped a ton of cash for the brake job and then blew his motor!
