Help..code 34 With New Maf!!!!

Help..code 34 With New Maf!!!!

was getting code 34 from my car.... looked at my maf, and there was a tiny wire from the plug to the board inside missing, tried to solder it, and it wouldn't hold for nothing. found a reman. MAF for 50 bucks, figured what the hell, picked it up installed it and NO DIFFERENCE!! still reading code 34 loud and clear, some one HELP !!!!!! (86 2.8 firebird)

thanks im gonna have to try all of that today... dont know if i can find a voltmeter tho, but thanks for the info, at least it gives me a direction to take into fixing this problem!!

its probly a quick and easy 10 cent fix look over by the battery on the passenger side fenderwel loock for the 2 fuses one is for the maf the other i don't know they should be 10 amp if that isn't it do the wireing check

You're welcome; you can usually find digital multimeters cheaply; in fact, I think even the neighborhood overpriced Radio Shack has a $10 digital meter now.

the maf not working would cause my car to have poor acceleration, due to the car not knowing the correct air/fuel ratio right?
