1) Trouble shooting why my dash lights wouldn't work, 3 were burnt out, & two were missing .

is this the yellow box thing tha TomP & Karl were talking about in an earlier post? having to do w/the spedo/vss?

I couldn't get the yellow pic box to post but yep I know what it is.
I AM ASSUMING that is the VSS for the Speedo to ECM in my 1985 vehicle set up.

 

even though it has the speedo cable input?

edit : nevermind, re-read your answer & realized I was R.I.F. impaired

 

Yeah.
Really.
That's what I've been told by others.
Seems to correspond to action of speedo & 35 MPH & 45 MPH, as that's when convertor locks up.
