fuel injector question?

fuel injector question?
so my dad is getting some new ones on his lt1 roadmaster and im thinking hey i can get these cleaned and have some new fuel injectors, well there 24 lb ones and i wanted to know if they will work wit the 3.1 v6!?!?

You will run majorly rich w/o some prom/chip burning.
A 3.1l comes with 15lbs, can get "away" with 17, or maybe even as much as 19. I think 21 or 24 would be WAY to much.

Hey Dale, I have a 305 TPI unit and harness sitting in my garage, Do you happen to know what # injectors that would have stock- My guess is 19#- Again its a 305 tpi unit, not a 350.

I know the 350 is 21. I have never investagated the 305.
If you know the hp rating for the engine it came off of, you can fig it out.
(hp rating x .50) / (injector qty X .80)=rating
So for my 3.1l it is
(140 X .50) / ( 6 X .80) = rating.
