start problem please need HELP!!!!!!

start problem please need HELP!!!!!!

Hi, I want to start my car this morning, and when I turn the key to the start position nothing hapens, I jump the starter on the solenoid and the car start with no problem,also I jump the swich on the tranny(maybe a bad switch and nothing the car only start if I hot wire the starter.
can be the switch on the steering colum???because is no current to the purple wire on the fuse box BTW the fuses are all OK. How easy is to change the switch in the steering column???.

what type of tranny? soundslike the nuetral safety/backup switch

also, there is always the key cylinder or the actual ignition switch that could crap out too. also check the inline fuse going to the starter. ( I think the cars still have this )

Hi, the fuse is OK, the tranny is a 700R4, I jump the yelow and purple wires on the safety switch and still the same crap.
