Here is what he said to me
POST ON THE FORUM THAT WE NEED A STOCK CAMARO WITH THE V6 IN ORDER TO DEVELOP A HEADER. IT SEEMS TO MAKE SENSE FOR US TO DO IT, BUT WE NEED A CAR HERE TO DO THE PROTOTYPE. HAVE SOMEONE FROM PHOENIX OR NEARBY EMAIL OR CALL ME (602-266-1964).
THANKS.

If any one in AZ wants to do this go fir it if worse comes to worse ill drive my car there and let them work in it in august. When im off school. But here we go

Here is what i said to him in the email half way thoguh it has the procedure that 3.1 firebird did

I have a 91 Chevy camaro with a 3.1 V6 and i herd you were makeing a set for 4th gen camaros with a 3.4 enigne with some bending you can get them to fit perfect using all the same parts that you use for the 3.4 4th gen camaros here is what my friend did with a set of your 3.4 headers that he put on a 92 3.1 camaro the headers will fit from 85-92 fbody cars everything will eb exactly the same from the 2.8-3.1 I would be veryinterested in buying a set from you if you made them for my model car and they where carb approved because i live in california. I know there is a big demand for them im a member of Thiedgen.org and for the past 3 years ive been a memeber everyone on the forum has been wanting a set of headers for our cars since no one makes them. Here is what my friend did to get them to fit. Depending on where you are located i would not mind letting you have my car for a week to get the headers to fit so you can have a car to work off of.

1. Buy 3.4 pacesetter headers for 93-93 camaros/firebrd.170 dollars.

2. Take exhaust manifolds off your car, so you can test fit the headers, because you will have to bend them to fit.

3. There are two coolant lines made out of steel on the passenger side, these two lines run to the heater core. You have to take a hammer and bang them towards the fender so the headers fit in. Also there is a Bracket on the driver side, that bolts onto the Power sterring and old exhaust manifold. These will not be used with the headers.

4. TEst fit driver side header.Put the driver side header in a vice around its flange. Heat the 3 pipes about halfway between the collector and the flange until its glows a dull pink. Now use a pry bar in the collector and bend the headers to the right( if you are standing next to the driver side fender and looking at the header installed on the head, it will look like your bending the header towards the rear of the car). Let the header cool, then test fit it. Repeat until it clears the cross member. Use Fel Pro gaskets. This side is pretty easy to do.

5. now you need to do the passenger side header, put in vice, etc. I cant remember which way this needed to be bent, but I think it hits the firewall, so it needs to be bent down some, and then maybe to the left or right a little bit. Use Fel Pro gaskets. This side is somewhat tricky.

6.Plug driver side O2 sensor bung. Screw O2 sensor into passenger side bung on #5 cylinder.

7. Drive open headered to exhaust shop and have y-pipe made. about 100 dollars.

7A. have AIR pump tubes welded into headers while getting y-pipe made, so your Air pump is functional.30 dollars.

7B. The O2 sensor bung on the headers are on headers pipes 5 and 6, thus since the #6 bung is plugged because it is not used, the O2 sensor only reads from #5.You may want to have an O2 sensor bung welded into the collector, so instead of reading only one cylinder it reads all 3. You may want a heated O2 sensor just in case the sensor doesnt get hot enough because it is locate further downstream.

Thank you for takeing the time to read this
