Suspension Rebuild, status: Days 4 & 5 & 6 (weekend)
Sorry guys this is gonna be just a teaser
Can't spend too much time here; I'll give a hell of a details update tomorrow. But here's the overall bit:
1. suspension: lca's/springs/struts/etc installed
2. steering: idler arm/center link installed
Left to do:
1. install tie rod ends
2. grease ALL fittings (Mobil 1 Synthetic lube)
3. go for a ride
4. get to an alignment shop quick!
If I feel frisky later:
1. install rear shocks/springs
Man, this project has kicked my butt. I'm so happy I'm almost done!! Stupid rusted bolts...

When I did similar job, my own front wheels alignment in my house was ridiculous. Then I got to a Goodyear alignment shop quick. Problem was: driving around 12 kms. with front wheels missaligned, I forced the power steering system, the power st. hoses and the power st. connections (rubber hoses with methalic lines)... hydraulic oil leakage and a lot of blue smog under the hood was the final history (and buying a new power steering hose).

Dude, you are right!! I tried to get the alignment close. I marked the upper strut mount locations with white-out, and marked the idler arms with white-out. I even tried to get the tie rods to be the same length as the original ones.
The alignment was very bad! The toe was "extreme" out! Basically my front tires looked like:
front of car
\...../
rear of car
I was squealing while going straight!
Needless to say, the car's at the alignment shop today!

I said:

He said:
-¡¡¡¿USTED?!!! (YOU?!!!!).
