Coolant sensor on a 3.1 v6

Can someone post a picture of where to find this puppy, I believe this is my culprit for my high idle.

You have two sensors.

The circle up by the intake is the ECT that goes to the ecm.

The circle buy the ac pump. Sensor is behind it, goes to your guage cluster.

Thanks, now which one is the one that would effect the car into staying into a high idle, I would think its the first correct?

Dunno about high idle, but first one will cause SES light. 2nd one just effects the cluster guage.

sensor

Yep, the sensor is right under your TB and next to the thermostat housing. It plugs into the same harness as the injectors do. A new one costs about 9 bucks at Autozone. you can use a 3/4 deep well socket to remove it without taking anything else off the car.

good luck
