You can tell pretty well by looking at the Facia (front bumper thing) and the ground effects. The wheels are also a clue, but all these things can be changed.

yeh, stick w/ what's been stated i guess....know that if it's fuel injected , it came after 1985...if it's Cross fire injected, it came before 1985....ummm, bumperettes on firebirds started in 85, so did the T/A ground fx w/ provissions for foglights. Most older T/A's came w/o ground fx, minus some 1984 models, but those won't have the foglamp holes in the front corners. You can spot a 91-92 bird from a mile away given their funny looking gfx along w/ that shark nosed front facia...the camaro groudn fx have those provisions for air styled slots ont he sides int he lter years, think those are 90-92 or 91-92 also, more agressive styling i guess. The list goes on, and if you look long enough and hard enough, you'll be able to spot em out, whats really sad is when u start noticing what year a bird is say 85-90 bird and i know it's a 86 because of a color scheme, or 85 because it's missing that third brake light...etc.
