Need info onsprings/shocks from a 4th gen!

What is the spring rate/length of the '93-'02 V8 Fbody springs vs our V6 springs?

Will '93-02 V8 Fbody shocks/struts work on a '82-'92?

How about the spring rate? I'm wondering if I can snag some takeoff V8 springs, slice 1/2 a coil, and be a happy camper... but I need to know the spring rates!

Rear shocks are the same. Don 't know about the spring rates.

What are you looking for: Lowered ride, stiffer front end,...? I cut my spring to match the broken other side. for "lowered" spring, jsut buy the ones for a V6, manual w/o a/c.

See, that's almost what I have now... manual v6 WITH a/c...

I may end up going Dropzones, since I can score those on Ebay for around $100. I think first should be some LCA's tho...

Yep, 4th gens use an upper control arm, with a shock; and the spring is on the shock. The suspension/chassis/brakes forum would probably have more info on spring rates... or check out the v6 area (mostly 4th gens) at http://www.camaroz28.com

Fronts won't work anyway... they went to coil-over shocks. Dang... ok, DZ's it is!
