Dual Snorkel intake (tpi)

When doing the Dual Snorkel intake swap, I'm going to have to extend the wires on my iat sensor, right? What kind of wire should I use to do this, just pickup some primary wire somewhere and solder it? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. Does it matter what gauge wire I use?

Probably want to use 18 gauge; try to match what the current sensor's using. Definately twist & solder those; see if you can find heat shrink tubing (radio shack) and use that instead of electrical tape. We're not talking about miles of extra wire here so the resistance induced by extending the sensor's wires would be extremely minimal...

Yes, I had to extend mine. I used *gasp* speaker wire. It was same size wire as in harness, brand new, and were side by side.

I did solder them together, then elec tape around them. I don't have heat shrink tube. It would be better.

All well and good, but the real question is, how does it sound?

Hey, must be good then! I actually forgot I posted that. Must have had something to do with the slap-happy mood I was in last night. Swapped in new front brake hoses, and what fun. Didn't take too long. . . but did you know that once you remove the hose from the caliper it empties the caliper of fluid? I've done brake work before, but. . well, I used the drain pan when I did the other side. LOL is right.

Then as I vacuum bled them I was almost done and forgot to keep an eye on how full the jar was getting. Yep, dang MityVac really sucks up and sprays the fluid out with that 'last' pump.

The good part is that I'll be able to drive her without a sudden lane change every time the brakes are used.
