call them and ask....if it'll fit the 3.4 then definitely itlll fit the 3.1 and the 2.8...why do you think people swap 3.4 blocks but keep the exact same manifolds ??? or the computer

Won't fit in a thirdgen bay though unless you want to get the torch out and bend them.
Then the Y pipe for them won't bolt up though.
3.1Firebird used 4th gen Pacesetters, but had to bend the headers to be able to use a Y pipe.....remember 4th gens and 3rd gens have completely different engine bays due to the suspension differences.

this is not pacesetter headers....why not call them and ask?
these are type-tube headers....I havent seen the pacesetters from what i understand the pacesetters go back like the s-10 headers ....but tehse go down and resemble shorty headers...

Sorry - but they won't work. The driver's side header needs to angle down and slightly forward, not down and back like in the picture. 4th gens have much more clearance than we do.
IMO those headers look the part for a 500 part.
I also plan on calling RK tomarow to see if they are resold Pacesetters, or are a true RK design, of which I have no doubt they are.
Which in case, the point of the drivers side header will become mute, as all that may need to be done is rework the "Y" pipe only.

summit magazine for example when you look for a crane cam..they show a generic picture of a crane cam...so by looking at the picture if we start judging, it doesnt make sense...(for example if they only picture 12 lifters when you need 16 for a v8)
from what i see 500 bucks isnt a bad deal for ceramic coated headers..when RKSport makes them...

I thought they were pacesetters... rk makes them? They've been around a long time (the headers -and- the company), used to be a sponser of v6fbody.com back in the day.

4th gen headers NO MATTER WHAT BRAND will bolt up, but will not fit in the bay without work. That's what he's saying.

Thank you Ovrclck, That is correct. The motors are identical but the frames on a 3rd gen compared to the 4th gens are different- 4th gen 3.4 headers will not directly bolt onto a third gen 2.8/3.1 car, they will hit the frame.

Unless I see a picture of them installed on a car, I will not say they fit, or more to the point of the thread, CAN fit a 3rd gen body.
From what I can see of the drivers side that they are showing, the "Y" pipe will need a 120* to come back forward, so the "Y" pipe needs to be reworked. No big deal. Tight radius 180 avail from many sources.
But your probly saying, get the what ever headers that you got from 5.7, afterall they are made to fit the 3rd.
What I am saying is that I have no doubt in my mind that these headers by RKSport have much more thought put into them, and are a far cry better then the ones you bought. Even if the "Y" pipe, or something else MIGHT have to be adjusted.

4th gen....the engine is more cramped than the 3rd gen...and their engines are further back in the engine bay...headers here seem to be shorty type...they'll probbly end right below the heads on each side and the rest is gonna be Y pipe....
all the other headers ive seen so far end up going right below the car...much longer than these....

wow. you really dont know how to get the point.
noone even cares where the exit point of the headers are.
look at whats next to a 3rdgen motor, then whats next to a 4thgen.
note that the space (regardless of "how much") note WHERE the room is.
what they are saying is that the bends needed to clear a 4thgen hits parts on the 3rdgen.
they're 2 diffrent cars dude. my fiero looks like it has more space between the heads of the engine and the side of the engine bay, but that doesnt mean that any headers from a "smaller" engine bay will fit.

Edit: Lets see- No thought into these?- last I checked, 5 of 6 primaries are equal length and the 6th is a long as possible without twisting things so much or causing clarance problems to plugs or accessories fitting. Flow is as straight as possible. Greg- You did a wonderful job PLANNING these headers- and welding for that matter (Unlike CHC's crappy welds- we know this has been documented by other sources) Thank you

Lets try to make this as simple as possible:
1. The RK headers will bolt onto the 2.8/3.1/3.4 (that point is all in agreement.)
2. The RK headers are designed for use in a 4th generation F-Body not a 3rd geneneration F-Body so there maybe some frame clearence issues.
Solutions:
1. Call RK Sport and see what modifications if any will be needed to make them work in a 3rd generation F-Body.
2. Pay $500 for a set and then pay an additional $$$ for somenone to rework or make you a new Y-Pipe like Socialdeviant suggests.
3. Buy a set of headers that is posted in the sticky at the top of the board like AGood2.8 did and just bolt them in.
We are all MATURE/INTELLIGENT people here and I am sure you can all make your own decisions in this matter.
