i though it would fit

k my wiper motor is broke on my 83 z28 so i took it out and took the one out my 84 v6 firebird, hook it all up and go to plug in the wires. (it dont have the same fitting!) i figured it would all be the same and never bothered to check. the one off the bird is like a box shape 3 wires and the one on the z is a line one also 3 wires. is there anyway i could get this to work? could i just cut the box plug and connect the wires? is it all the same??

oh also the one form the Z has like a L shape plug in the motor and the bird dont. what the L one for?

both motors are delay.

Assuming everything else is the same, you could steal the plug out of your f-bird also. Or you might be able to find a new plug from the dealer or a reproduction parts place. Then just solder-splice the new plug on using heat-shrink, or just install the new plug properly (which might be the hard way).

If you can find wiring diagrams for both cars, then you can figure out if the motors are compatible.

DO NOT BUY A NEW PLUG, you still have the broken motor right, cut the plug off the firebird moter, toss it, cut the plug off the camero motor, match the collors and connect working motor to fitting plug, if collors dont match then experiment. you cant realy do mutch besides blow a fuse. good luck
