stock compression?

stock compression?

I have a 1989 2.8 v6. and i was wondering what the stock compression was. They reccomend 8.0-9.5 for the cam i'm looking to get. Do you even need that done

That ws brand new too. After a while,it starts gong down.

yeh, 8.9 to one is the factory compression, and yes after time the car will start going down a tad, the easiest way to tell if things are still in working order is to do a compression check, you should be able to pick the guage up at any autoparts store, and there will probably be instructios in te pack along with a haynes manual.
