launch was about a 100rpm stall. i just shifted manually from 1st to drive. my first to second shift was nice but my second to drive was slower than hell and legged. what can i do to make my 2nd to D shift faster. it had about an hour cool down so that was ok. temp was 77* and the humidity was 100%. tire psi was 40 in the fronts and 33 in the rears. my right rear was also bald really bad. im gonna put a new set of rear tires on and a fiberglass hood off from and 88 bird anto it and run it again next wen.

Wow, your motor should do so much more than that! I'm not worried about the ET...it's that trap speed. Only 75? What happened?? My automatic 3.1 with exhaust and intake trapped at 85....yours should do at least that, and probably more.... Sounds like either something's wrong or you're shifting way before or after your powerband... Cause not that much can affect the trap speed. For example, if you have a horrific tire squealing launch and only pull a 19 second ET...your trap speed will still be very close to the same. I dunno...it's hard for me to believe that your car would only trap at 75, with ALL your mods, EVEN IF your shift technique is poor. Confuses the hell out of me!
