MPFI Block 2bbl Manifold
What intake gasket do I need to put an '84 2bbl Manifold onto an '86 MPFI Long Block?
Do I need the FI gasket or the 2bbl gasket or are they the same. parts stores can't seem to tell me. Thanks

Either one will work. I put the 2bbl intake on a 88 bird 2.8. I used the 88 intake gasket.
The only difference is that the old gasket has a metal plate with a hole inside it in one of the port. The fuel injected gasket did not have this. I used the fuel injected one because i figured it would flow better without the metal plate.
To make it short it runs great using the 88 gasket.

Cool. I have the 2bbl one and it has a metal plate also. It's a water cross over. I can take it out. Thanks!
