An interesting update for y'all

*link deleted due to stupid clicking on wrong item & deleting page from cardomain

In the fourth pic, you can see the 2.8 head beside the 3800 exhaust manifold. Interesting don't you think??

Last pic is of the 3800 starter (small one) compared to the 2.8~3.4 starter

I wanted to laugh when I saw that picture of the tranny on the chair!!!

Well, considering my computer chair broke tonight, I doubt it hold anything up, let alone a tranny.

Interesting comparisons.

yeah. THe only thing(s) the engine doesn't come with are the wires going to the dash, so I'll be flipping back & forth between the two books matching up wires/colors to each other.

Q for those who know: IS there any difference between the VSS signal from an 87/89 car & a 95/96? Just wwondering if I can use the other cluster gauge.

And yes, the brackets are gonna be a bytch to do

edit: for those that haven't seen the oil pan on those engines, it's like a mini mopar pan. very different from what we're used to seeing.

My Camaro caught fire, about a year ago, in the same place as yours. Do F-Bodys have a habit of catching fire cause mine's done it twice and my friend's Z burnt to the ground in April. They all seem to have problems, my engine needs a rebuild only a year after replacing it, can't keep it from throwing codes, and can't keep a catalytic converter on the damn thing. But hey, it looks good as long as you don't open the hood.

Picked up the motor today. Now I have both it & the tranny. I did a rough estimate of how wide the enine is, from outside exhaust manifold flange to flange. Roughly 28". I might have to get the headers for it to clear the rear lower A-arm mount that sticks into the engine bay area. Pics soon. For now I have to research the wiring for it. Mainly what wires actually go to the dash & ignition switch. I might eevn stick in a GT cam from www.zzperformance.com to keep it **** e-check legal, although I'm sure, barring any unforseen engine fires , it will run significantly cleaner than the 2.8 emisiion controls did.

edit: maybe even the VS cam instead

im not trying to be rude. i asked you 3 count them 3 times what damn injectors you put in your 3.4? if you used the 3.4 injector the completely pig *** rich 5 gas report i looked at when you posted it makes perfect sense.are you under the impression that the ecm in your car majically detected the flow rate of the injectors and corrected it.the ecm is calibrated for 13pph not the 18pph you shoved in there. also looking at you co the timing is to high.

Yes, it is a magical ecm, that and a properly adjusted TPS & new MAF help emmensly in the drivability & **** e-check area. ALso ha 3.4 injectors, as posted by umpteen other 3.4 swappers. Would it passnazi e-check w/the 2.8 injectors? probobly, but since I might be deploying in two weeks, I wont have the time to find out. Besides, the new engine is here w/even bigger injectors (sorry, couldn't help that one) but whe I do sell the 3.4, it will include both sets. pics in bout 15 min.
