Alternator bracket...

I used to have an '85 2.8. That car had way too many problems with it and I decided to sell it. Before I got rid of it I took all the nice stuff off it, like the 140amp alternator. I want to put this on my '91 3.1, but I forgot to take the bracket.

The '91's bracket is too small, won't fit. I have no idea if this was a stock alternator or if the previous owner had it put on. Any ideas where I could find a new bracket?

Yeah, could try a junkyard. Hopefully the pullies will still line up. You'll probably have to do some custom work to that bracket. 85-86 will have the bracket you need, but prior to that, and after that, GM used a smaller case alternator. Since 85-86 isn't serpentine, the bracket might push the pulley out too far forward.
