Hey guys,
The time has come, i'm going to be parting with my v6. I'm planning on doing a v8 swap this winter. I was at the body shop cuz i hit a deer and i was talking to this guy who swapped a 350 in his car. He's the original owner of a TPI 305 out of his IROC with only 32K. He's giving up the engine and tranny dirt cheap. I still gotta check it out and talk to him but I'm probably gonna buy it.
I thought i'd see who's interested here on the v6 board first. I have a 3.1L outta my 91 rs. It's just about to roll over 57K. All 6 injectors are new, 1.52 magnum roller rocker tips, fiero valve covers, ASP crank pulley, hypertech ignition coil, new taylor spiro pro ignition wires, new AC delco plugs(less then 2K on them) The ECM has a JET Stage 2 chip. It doesn't burn any oil. I did have an overheating problem, i had too much oil in the engine. That problem has been fixed and the engine is running great. It's had no hesitation starting up, No overheating, no burning, idles very smooth. Wiring, ECM, Prom, distributer are included. New cap and rotor on the distributer.
Along with that is a automatic 700R4 which is also about to turn over 57K. Shifts smooth, I've had no problems with my transmission.
The engine is still in my car, I'll have it in there probably until the end of january. Maybe sooner. I have pictures at my car domain website in my signature.
Like i said, i'm not ready to sell it just yet. I have to look over the 305 still. however if you are interested please let me know and i'll keep you in mind. I'm not sure about shipping. I might be able to get you a deal through my dad's trucking(USF holland) If i can't, you'll probably will have to pick it up.
I'm asking $500 for everything or best offer.
