We'll have the PF&E Headers Tomorrow!

We're getting the stainless headers and Y-pipe for Redraif tomorrow...Greg at PF&E is delivering them to Atlanta himself, since he's going to be down here anyway (they're in Michigan). Hopefully we'll be able to dyno the 3.4 next Thursday without the headers, then the following Thursday with (Dynolab in Marietta is open late Thursday nights). I'm not making any predictions, but I would hope to see a significant improvement over the manifolds on a 3.4 with cam and head work.

Hopefully we'll have header pics posted in the next few days.

If anyone wants to order a set, call Greg at PF&E at 586-949-3400.

BTW, Greg is planning some other cool stuff for the little 60! Hehe, can't wait!

I think if Lt1guy and RedRaif got together with AGood2.8 what we would have is one sickly modded 60* camaro on our hands, then if we let Doward and vortex at it we might just have the fastest 60* engine ever. Man i really wish i had my car with me you guys really make me wanna work on it

Sean, you had best bring that beast down here, or get some timeslips... you know that Vortex Performance can't allow the title of baddest V6 go to you northerners

I'd like to see how it stacks up to a mitsu equipped 3.1 with head work, cam, exhaust, etc... Should be interesting

The ones we got are 304 stainless...they're $450, I think the mild steel ones are $350, uncoated. I know thats higher than most people are used to paying for headers, but the quality of the welds and the materials used (3/8 thick flanges, for example), plus the fact that no one else has a production set of headers yet (Pacesetter is working on it so I hear, but based on what I have seen of their stuff in the past they won't be nearly as nice) for a 60 degree V6 makes them worth it. We bought Greg's original y-pipe (came off his car) with it; not sure what he's going to charge for future ones. Greg set up the headers with no provisions for EGR per our request, and the y-pipe deletes the cat, though we're going to flange it so that a cat can be added, and we may add a QTP cutout. We're going to try polishing the headers, and coat the y-pipe (the prototype had a mild steel piece in it, not all stainless like the headers).

No website that I know of...

Redraif's 3.4 is by no means finished... we didn't leave it low compression for nothing !
