need O-rings....

well, I'm still leaking gas out of the fuel rail, looks like i had the wrong O-rings. Turns out that GM doesn't even make them anymore, so I can't order them from a dealership, and they don't even know what size they are. If anybody knows how I could get these or what size these two O-rings are, it would be greatly appreciated. They are for where the line for the cold start valve fits into the fuel rail for an '89 RS 2.8. Thanks

same as project85 here. If parts store doesnt list them for your car. Ask for a 96 Mustang 4.6l injector o-rings.

Viton? Is it better than the Buna-N material? Never heard of it...?

never heard of Viton?????

It's the new, in thing. You can use the Caddy 3.25 Viton rear main seal on the 3.25 Poncho motors & not worry about the rope seal (yeah, some old real old school for some). It's just a type of material to last longer than just plain ol' rubber.

buna isn't recommended for FI systems, buna is black viton is sort of brownish orange and cost a lot more

Okay ede you thoroughly confused me now!! I thought buna-n was fuel resistant and meant for injectors & lines & etc; and I thought those were the reddish-brown o-rings. Or are you talking buna and I'm talking buna-n?? Maybe I should stop skipping lunch (no food to brain)?

Glad to hear it went well, Jeremy!
