wow, i think i've got the answers to both of your problems...wonder if i'll be the first to respond....

your coolant issue is a result of your heater core (if it's leaking in the cabin, which i'm assuming it is) when the heat is on do the windows fog up? and when it's off (if it's leaking bad enough) do they fog still?

The tranny makes funny noises and you get a bump...Fix = don't accelerate hard until you get time to fix it, and replace the tranny mount. It's a lil rubber thingie that's located on the back of the transmission, when the slip, your transmission will literally not be attached to the frame and is hitting the underside of the car....BOY DO I HATE THAT FEELING. Be nice to it until you get it fixed, they're cheap and easy...look for ked85's article about the heater core, even gave part numbers and prices for ya.

he said it. heater core and trans mount.

not counting the time to get the car in the air, a total noob should be able to do a trans mount in about 10mins... seriously. and the part is really cheap too.

the heater core can be easily bypassed if you need to drive the car now, but you wont have heat.

to bypass it, there are 2 hoses that go into the firewall..... get a $4 heater hose fix kit, or make one yourself... you need 2 hose clamps, and a barbed fitting that fits the two hoses to each other.

connect the hoses to each other..... thats it to bypass it..

if you do a search, you'll find better directions on replacing the heater core then i will ever type out... there may be a artical on doing it on the front page... not sure on that though.

A heater core usually gives sign of impending doom before it leaks bad. You will notice that allot of times after you have driven your car and goto get back into it a while later, the windows are foggy, misted over.

Of course your is obvious but the foggy Windows is a sign of doom.

Heater cores are no fun to change. Might wanna try one of them lighter plug in heaters and by pass it, unless you have a nice warm place to work.

Think about going to http://www.summitracing.com and ordering yourself part # ENS-3-1108R . That's a polyurethane trans mount, and it'll last you forever. I went through three $10 stock rubber mounts in 3 years. Then I put the poly trans mount on back in 1997, and guess what, I'm still on the same mount! Plus you'll get yourself a free Summit catalog, too.

(You can get the free summit catalog without ordering, too- you can do it thru the website at http://www.summitracing.com/store_bin/freecatalog/ )
