Hello all, havn't posted in a while, holiday season is hectic here. My question is im looking for a 1:18 scale model of a thirdgen camaro. My son loves cars, i've gotten him a few already, corvette, 4th gens, but he wants one like mine (haha) and I cannot for the life of me find a 1990-1992 1:18 chevy camaro. Color is no big deal, but perhaps you guys know where I can get one, Thanks. Also, an Iroc-z model will do.

 

i have a 1:18 diecast 1982 z28 w/ ttops and i got it at kbtoys outlet in new york.

 

Yea thats my problem bud, I can't seem to find any thirdgen models beyond 82 . I will get it if I can't find any in the 90's range, however it would be awesome if I could find a 90-92

 

try finding a firebird model other that Knight Rider, not really gonna happen . Have you tried searching the model manufacturers web sites? Sometimes they're even in e-bay.
wonder how long before this this locked But yeah, try monogram, revell, amc, ertl, .......

 

Ebay was where I looked first actually, I have checked ertl and a few others, none beyond 82...tis a shame, sorry for being off topic.

 

doesn't liost scale, but AMT/Ertl has an 83 Z/28, THis place has to kits, kinda $$$$ though

 

i found one at my local mall for 20$, painted it to look exactly like the car in the sig

only bad thing is its a 82 so no GFX but close enough

the Knight Rider model comes with a regular bumper and non cowl induction hood, alo has other lic plate decals besides"knight" that way you can make a KITT or a plain old fire bird. i know couse i was the loser that actually purchased one (thats right, "the loser" there has only been one...

 

But the KITT is an '84 model, right? With the different front/rear bumpers than 85-89? I'd love to find an 85-89 "stock" Firebird, or a Formula... all I've seen are trans ams. And I'd hate to do bodywork to a model car to turn it into a Firebird!

 

Here's a link to a site that I found in someone's sig on one of the boards. It shows a lot of pictures of different firebird and camaro kits. There are several third gens on it. I don't think that the site has them for sale, but at least it gives you an idea of what was made.

about a year ago I found a black 1988 IROC-Z exactly like mine and I wish I could have gotten it. It was like 1:10th scale. It was on ebay but I'm pretty sure ERTL made it.
