Cam, timing chain set, check the bearings, new high vol oil pump, clean up the heads, new gaskets....

Just what I'd do, while it's out. If a stick shift, replace the clutch!

depends on how much money/time you have.

1. Timing chain for sure!
2. cam, up to you.
3. Rebuild/replace the carb.
4. install an oil pump for a 93-95 3.4l, it is better then one you have, resonably priced. Slightly higher volume, better pickup.
5. replace oil pan gasket, valver cover gaskets, check rear main seal.
6. If you have alot of time, and some money, good connections, install the heads from an mpfi version 2.8/3.1/3.4. Valves are larger.

thanks for the replies. probaly going to do those except the heads. my next project is going to be another car with a 350 and that is where i going to put all the serious power but until then a need a good v6. about the carb would i be able to get a 4 barrel or is that going to be too much gas going in. if i do get a 4 barrel i would mosty like upgrade the ingition somehow.what about carb spacers and intake manifold? would they help with out upgrading the vales, pistons and all the other really deep stuff?thanks Eric

If you plan on doing another car for the power, save the money and stick with a 2bar.

Would need whole new intake, gaskets, mes with distrib, bla bla bla, then might as well do heads while your halfway their, bla bla bla. You know how it goes

I would attempt to upgrade ignition now anyways, will help now.

Dont forget to check/adjust timing once done with chain.
