I need to find the bolt that loosens up my distribuator cap so that I can time my 2.8 V6. Can any one help?

It down there somewhere under the cap, hard to see, hard to find, hard to get something on it, just hard hard hard.

Get your hands down there some how and feel for it. Its next to the shaft. Just feel down the shaft and around the bottom of it for the bolt.

There is a Viagra joke in there somewhere too.

when you find it you'll need a 15 mm socket lik edale said, a swivel, a 2-4 inch ext, and i found a dist wrench on the end of the ext the easiest way to loosen/tighten the bolt. I left mine tight enough so the dist wont turn from the engine rpms but loose enough so i can turn it with two hands. Its not fun to get to.

I bought a wrench

They make the 15 mm distributor wrench for theese motors. Problem is, the only place you can get it is through a tool company (snap-on, Cornwell, Matco, MAC etc.) Mine cost me like 18 bux or something, works great. A very good investment, believe me. Funny that they only used the design on 3 differennt models too (S-10, F-body, Cadillac)
