After Swap Problems, Need Help
Alright, the main problem I'm having is transmission. While it was apart, I sild the converter off to see if I was having a shaft leak. None, so I slid it back on. If their is a way to put this on wrong, would the trans work? Would I even beable to bolt things up? Its holding first gear WAY to much, I gotta take engine to redline to make it shift. Sometimes second is this way. I have played with cable adjustment, checked fluid, still same way. Do I have to pre-fill the converter? It leaked ever so slighly some out while I had it off.
Ecm/wiring. I keep getting trouble codes 15,42, and sometimes 43. After searching everything, I finally swapped ECMs. I get no more code, but now this new one idles very very low, almost dieing. My o2 meter made by a board member shows pegged rich 24/7 with this new ecm, not the old ecm.
I checked, I do not have an injector leak, but after a few minutes, I do have blead-down on the rail.
Coolent leak, I know where its from and why, no-biggie.
I do think after I get these bugs worked out, I will quite enjoy the engine as it seems to run smoother, noticable power, no knocking at idle.

The converter
A far as THAT part goes, there is a wrong way to put tit back on. When you re-install it, it should slide back quite a ways into the shaft. After you install it, you should notice some resistance when you attempt to rotate it. Did you recently service your tranny? If so, there have been numerous cases of our trannys dying shortly after. Good luck though, and congratulations

alright, it was the detent cable from when the trans was rebuilt 1.5 years ago was not even close to being adjusted properly. Read my thick gm manual on how to adjust properly, WOW. Want to drive it more before I say its "fixed" To soft now.
Wiring/ecm/ses light still baffles me.
I also have a stumble taking off the line, but I feel this is the TPS because even with the 3.1 it did, and attempted to die occasionally when stopping. Gotta find part number on adjustable one of them, and replace it.
Slowly working this stuff out.

Atleast on your maiden voyage home you did not die at the 50 mile mark of the 100 mile journey.
Teething pains.......
Great going on the installation.
How did you adjust valves?
Yeah the power increase feels great in the seat of your pants, don't it!
Like a locomotive.
Wait til you leap that single bound!

Nope, it died leaving the house in a s curve. Costed to safe area, parked it, started, took off again.
Adjusted valves finger method, taking notes I plan to post. Plus .75 turn more. Next time I'm in, going to do full turn.
