Dead tranny 3.4 victim
Well, my transmission has croaked (for the most part anyway). It still went through the gears just fine, but it was making noise. So, I loaded it on the trailer and took it to the pro-shop for a build-up. Guess I can kiss this weeks pay goodbye, LOL. On the upside, now that it's gonna be in for some work, I can add a shift kit and a Vette servo. Kill two birds with one stone. Was lucky enough to aquire a set of long tube hedders as well. Un-lucky/Lucky me.
Like myself, ya got your moneys worth outta what was availble (the tranny in the original vehicle).
Did ya go thru 3-4 clutches?
Even mine freshly rebuilt almost 2 years now is "starting" to act up.
Hell I'm driving it till it stops moving again.
And I really don't beat on the tranny.
I like an easy drive, not driving like "do I need worry will tranny breakdown?".
If I want to beat on a tranny, I go for spin in my 1974 Corvette with a TH400 tranny in it.

The only problem I have with my tranny after the 3.4 swap is it has a small leak. I am just to lazy to drop the tranny and fix the leak. I know where it is coming from. I guess I might fix it this summer...
