Socket set

Sorry for all the posts this is my last one, whats the difference between 3/8 and 1/4 metric socket sets and which one should i get for my camaro

The main difference is the size of the sockets themselves. The 1/4" drive socket set goes from 4mm to 13mm. The 3/8" drive socket set goes from 8mm to 22mm. They are both handy to have. For the really big bruisers, get the 1/2" socket set.

I've seen 1/4in all the way up to 15mm. Either way, you need to have both 1/4 and 3/8 sets if you plan on doing any work yourself.

Also make sure you buy a good quality set, you get what you pay for. Best type I think are flat drive sockets that grip the flats of the nut and not the corners.....I used a cheep 1/2 inch drive once, and rounded all the sides of a nut on my van's sump!
Luckily it was written off 2 hours later by a ahem lady driver so I did'nt need to change the oil anyway!!!
