i read the tech article on puttin in the on/off switch on the governor. is this goin to work with the v6 ecu? is the wiring different? and will the spedometer still work even though the governor is disabled?

if i'm thinking of the same switch you're talking about, it connects to the speed sensor on the transmission. your speedometer will not work and i think you'll get a check engine light but you won't have a 115 limiter.

Just put the switch real close and easy to reach. On the wheel would be good and just flip it off at 110 and back on once you want to slow down. After 100 does it even matter if you know?

Could hook up a mini spedo with a simple drive shaft sensor.

If the v6 has a 115 limit how come i've gotten my speedo all the way back around to 30- 35? Wish i had someone next to me with a high reading speedo on 95 when i did it.

BTW the car felt like it could of gone faster, i still had pedal left. I left off of it because at the time my tires sucked, one had a huge bubble in it!

the 3.1s with the 730 ecm had a 115 limiter, others may have been different. plus, we've got the 110 speedometers, brobert, you don't do you?

nah, wish mine had numbers at least that high. I have the crappy standard dash with the huge gas gauge and 85 mph speedo. Its surprizing how fast it goes back around on the highway.

Though remember people the reason they put these speed limiter in cars is so you did not go faster than the stock triers were rated for. The dealer just uses the cheapest tire it can and if they let you go faster than it can Hadle, it could be their fault.

Everyone should have z rated tires.
