question about relays

On the driver side near the power brakes i have 3 relays,2 are the same and one just look like to that one from the maf at the right side near the battery.so my question is about the two that are the same what are they for.I have found o lots of grease on the terminals and some bypass. The one for the cooling fan also has a bypass on it that's why the fan kicks on when i turn the car on.Any idea how to fix that, the relay i just changed but the fan when i disconected the bypass did not worked

Those relays near the brake booster are for the fan, fuel pump and a/c.

I have a fourth one on the pass side by the blower motor. Any ideas what it is? Couldn't find it in any of my books. 1992 3.1lL

As far as it not working after replacing the relay are you sure the temp sender is function correctly? If not it could be the source of your problem. I had a pretty messed prob with mine. Both the temp sender and the temp gauge were bad. The temp gauge would read high. Drove me nuts for a while/

The relay mounted by the blower motor is for the high speed of the blower motor.
