"What Hedders can do for You"

Okay, I'm gonna explain to anyone considering hedders what the pros and cons are. Back when I was considering getting them, nobody told me what the pros/cons were for having hedders, here they are:
You're gona lose some low end torque, I did. The sacrifice is reasonable however, you pick up more power higher in the band. I noticed a nearly COMPLETELY reshaped power curve, "ramped" would be the best way to describe it. There is definately gonna be an increase in top end power, you will notice it. The "flat spot" in the higher RPM will be "smoothed over", you will notice some power there that certainly wasn't before. Other than the slight loss in lowend, it seems as power was added EVERYWHERE on the band. That's pretty much it, if you are considering hedders you're gonna loose some lowend torque, but gain power everywhere else. Hedders provide a pretty good gain for the money, and make for some better exhaust notes.

Are you talking about the pacesetter headers?

did you say those are some old hedman's? you don't always lose low end, that depends on the size exhaust you run with the headers. what size is your y-pipe? if you go a little smaller on the exhaust size, you can gain low end but sacrifice a little top end. anyways, congrats on getting them installed. they're on a stock (basically) motor, right?

I guess

The motor has no internal mods. Just Coil, AFPR, Lighter flywheel. They are the old heddman longtubes, into a 2.5" Y pipe with cut-out.

dual 2.5s into a single or what? i'm running dual 2.25s into a single 3" on a modded motor. i would consider, and probably go with, dual 2" into single 2.5 for a stock internal motor.

into single

They go into the Y pipe, then into a 2.5" cut-out (cable operated). Before the cat.
