the 'breather' is from a V8, its just the dual snorkel setup. and, that's a piece of 3" PVC between that and the TB with rubber plumbing couplers holding them together. that's a, basically, stock plenum that i polished. i'll have to take a new pic with my new blue plug wires on it too.

I thought it looked like the one of the TPI cars, but the PVC was throwing me off. Ive been wanting to do something similar to that on mine.

How did that change over work. I had a 92 with the 3.1 and a 5spd and always wondered how hard the swap would have been. Had a 90 grand prix with the 3.4l and was fast:yourock:

The is a 3.4 block yes, with 3.1 intake. I have 3.1 engine pics on my site

I do not like my intake painted to match. I'm looking for a second one to port out a bit, and keep it stock looking or polish.

Swap is not hard at all. If I didn't have to wait on my heads, I could have done all the work in a week and 2 good weekends(and thats having a full time job during week).

The car just wouldn't start, I checked the codes and it said VSS. I took out the VSS fuse and put it back in and all was good since then.

Don't forget my 3.1 over here in the U.K. 110,000km and runs a dream (Hopefully when I put the autobox oil back in!)

My wife of almost 4 years bought her 3.1L '92 RS Automatic brand spankin' new back in '92....still have the original window sticker and the introduction audio tape (still in wrapper - never opened). It's only got 70,500 miles on it, but the paint's a bit tough now as it's been sitting outside most of its life here in SoCal. It's garaged now, for the past 3.5 years. Runs good, but a weird vibration with the A/C on when stopped at a light. Yeah, I know, the A/C compressor is gonna make some noise, but this is sorta weird.....almost too much vibration/noise. A/C works great though!
