3.4 intake

Will an intake manifold from a 4th gen 3.4 work on our cars? I know that the heads will and i was just wondering about the intake.

No, rear crossover will not allow the distributor to fit.

Actually, I think a more appropriate answer to this question is:

If you want to change over the ENTIRE engine control suite to the 3.4 version, then yes it will fit. The 3.4 does NOT use a distributor but uses coil packs instead and has to have computer control over them. The intake is designed to fit around the coil packs (I would guess and I believe that is what I've heard) and the rear bar, like mentioned above, will get in the way of dropping the distributor in.

If the above is too much work, then just keep what you have. I don't think the heads are really that much of an improvement over stock 86-92 2.8/3.1 1.72/1.42 heads, but I could be wrong.

Yes it will bolt on there but like they said no distributor.
I have 2.8 heads, a 3.4 intake manifold and 2.8 plenum, some improvement maybe.
The 2.8 and 3.4 heads are the same thing.

The GTO is a restoration project that I've just started on. My dad gave it to me because he doesn't have time to work on it anymore. It's in a pretty rough shape right now, but it's an origional 6 pack car and I've got all the parts.
