throttle cable sticking a bit

when i let off the gas and push in the clutch the idle stays at about 1500 to 1800 rpms. if i lift up on the pedal and slightly to the side, it drops to normal. anyone else have this problem? i lubed where i could on the cable but nothing. if i rev the engine w/ the throttle body, it doesnt do it, so its in the cable somewhere. anyone else have this? i think im gonna have to replace it.

Spray a little TB cleaner inside the TB. And did you lube the gas
pedal?

its not the throttle body, cause if i operate it from there its fine, its only the pedal. and yes i did lube the pedal too, forgot to mention that.

if it were me id run down to the parts store and pic up the new throttle cable and be safe because i had this happen once and it sucks to be going down the road and have someone else stop in front of you and you hammer the brakes and the throttle is still trying to go ......
its more of a saftey issue to me
if it is acting up at all then there is something wrong with it that needs to be addressed instead of fixed for the time
