TPI air intake conversion

I have a 92 camaro with the 3.1 v6. i heard that the dual snorkle on the TPI camaros can be put on to the v6 to increase HP so i bought one and the stock air intake tube doesnt reach the snorkle. can the dual snorkle be hooked up ? what do i need to hook it up properly ? i have an AIM s/n of Camaro RS 8992... you can IM me if you have any information that can help me out

with the 92 Camaro, you have no MAF...that's a good thing for ease of hookup. i went to homedepot and hit the plumbing isle for that setup on my 3.1. 3" pvc pipe and 2, 3" straight thru rubber couplers. that will squeeze down to fit over the TB. i have pics of this setup on page 3 of my cardomain site, my cardomain site . good luck and welcome to the boards.

For the sake of helping a new member learn to keep the boards remotely tidy. The last time I tried to merge a pair of threads, the result was disasterous , so I'm just avoiding it now

The tube you're referring to is your PCV breather inlet (positive crankcase ventilation, not PVC (poly-vinyl chloride) (yes, the two terms become extremely confusing at this point since we're now referring to both)). A source of filtered air is required for the PCV system to work. In stock configuration, this is done by the forementioned tube. I'm not sure how other members have set this up, though, so I'll just let them chime in, since I've had pretty horrible luck fitting a breather filter between my plenum and EGR/coil bracket, and connecting the tube back to the intake tract *does not* work in turbocharged applications (I'm running no breather filter, but my motor is *FRIED*, do not try this at home)

the edelcbrock chrome valve covers only have one hole in each cover. the one on the driver's side will have the pvc (i think, or pcv) hose or valve and the cover on the pass. side, i just have a oil cap on it. i did not run that stock tube back to the intake.

got the snorkle air intake put in !

today i put the v8 air intake in... i ran up to sears hardware and bought some 3" PVC and to boots that were $7.00 each and drilled a hold for the valve cover breather...the siliconed it up....it looks funny but i will put a coat of black paint over it to make it look a little better but i could feel the difference in the car... it has more touque and it even sounds better thank you for the help i wouldn't of been able to do it without the help
my car still runs very rough and almost stalls when it is put in gear and the brake is held...im gonna try to put new plugs in it...i hope this fixes the problem... the fact that the car sat for three years...and the gas went bad and we never fully got the gas out... but the injectors have been cleaned several times new cap and rotor have been put in and new plugs wires... i have gone through more that 20 sets of plugs including $60 worth of splitfire plugs and the motor still runs rough if you have any tips that may help smooth it out please let me know
