3.4 block with 3.1 stuff

Car: 1988 Pontiac Trans Am
Engine: 383 Stroker
Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: Borg Warner 9-Bolt, with 3.42 Gears
3.4 block with 3.1 stuff
Hello Everyone. I was wondering if all the stuff from my 3.1 would bolt up to a 3.4 engine block? Transmission would right? All i really want is the block. will it work? And no a V8 waste to much gas.

Engine: Pos 2.8 pulled and replaced with a 350 tpi motor converted to carb.
Transmission: 700r4, vette servo,shift kit, hayden 15"x8" trans cooler.
After some tuning my v8 uses the same amount of gas my 2.8 did.
