not so safe???

Well i got my results for my safety back, yeah, they changed my light bulf for my license plate while it was there, so after that and the safety test i got a nice bill of $233......i asked for what?? changing a light bulb?? All i need is tires then my baby can be road ready. I couldnt belive the bill though, its just nuts what these guy can charge

That's why you never tell a mechanic to just fix whatever is wrong. I never tell anyone to do anything BUT specifically what I wanted done. If they do other **** then I consider that a free gift since I never told them they could do it, or that I wanted it done.

man i think they just "kinda" took advantage of me cause im 17, like **** man last time i got something done the mechanic asked if i wanted him to do specific things to the car.....ahh man i was pissed

but you know thats 233 canadian, so in america isnt that like....i dunno what is it these days 12 dollars?

Did he give you a receipt saying what he did or explain at all what was done to the car? And it's $2.50 american.

I'd check and make sure he actually did what he said he did first off. Second off give specific permission when your car goes in the shop. I know around here if I put my car in the shop and they do extra things that I never asked for then I don't have to pay for it. It's like driving by someone's house, washing it, then telling them they owe you $200 when they never asked you to do it....

So the only thing on the bill is the light bulb? Does CA make you pay for the safety test? Geez. I would've gotten a lawyer just out of principle- and never go back to that shop again!
