yea. But the load on the car is important. Best to have a trailer that low and has more then 2 wheels. So most of the load is on the trailer and not the tongue / rear end of your car.

Car: 85 firebird
Engine: Pos 2.8 pulled and replaced with a 350 tpi motor converted to carb.
Transmission: 700r4, vette servo, shift kit, hayden 15"x8" trans cooler.
A jet ski or a small fishing boat at best.

BTW MOST trailers that have more then two wheels ( dual axels) are WAY too heavy for a 2.8 to move.

Never seen those on a stick but if you say so.

-----------

You should be ok as long as your not jerking heavy loads. The sheer strength of a 6 penny nail is 7000lbs. Those bolts are much bigger and what, atleast grade 5.
if you fell the need drill more [2-3 a side] holes and add more bolts. Grade 8s if you can find them. But I think you are right as them two small front bolt just hold it up. Your big 4 are for pulling load.

Just keep the load on the trailer and do not jerk things around with it.
I say that as I ripped the bumper off my Buick wagon that way. It has the factory tow package and the ball was just bolted to the steel bumper. But the bumper support was made from aluminum and then bolted to my steel frame. steel bolted to aluminum that is bolted to steel is not good for pulling tree stumps.

I wrapped the chain around the rotten tree. [bad rotten soft n spongy] stepped on the gas and ripped my bumper off.

That's always neat.

LOL, Thats not good. The bolts on there are pretty big and i think it will work. I put a lock washer right befor the nut, so the wash is up against the frame. I think this should stop it from coming loose. Thats where that washer should go right? I think I will leave those other two disconnect, so that if the bolts break or something, they won't rip my bumper off. LOL They are small and i doubt would help anyway, don't know what they aree for, like you said, I should be could with the 4. Thanks
