fuel pressure regulator
Raising fuel pressure on v-8 tpi cars seems to help performance, Will it have positive effects on a v-6 also? Are the regulators the same (v-8/v-6)?

regulator on the mpfi v6 is same as v8 tpi, yes.
Not sure anyone has actually given a yes/no response on just bumping up pressure on a stock 6

On a stock motor it won't help, if you have a cam, hedders etc. THEN it is a good idea, keeps you from starving the motor of fuel high in the RPM.

I read somewhere that SMALLER injectors (within reason) using higher pressure causes better atomization and more power. I've also seen graphs showing around 10 hp increase for a stock tpi 350. But then again, it may have been an advertisment for a regulator, I don't remember.

look at it like your using your water hose. What makes the water spray "out" futther, when the nose is full open? or when you have a portion of it blocked?
However, it can also cause fuel starvation problems by absolute lack of availible fuel. There is a fine line of having atomized fuel and fuel that is so atomized it can evaporate in the runners.

Bumping up fuel pressure is not going to matter because the computer sensors are going to read rich and close down the pulse rate. So unless you have chip work done (prom) it isn't going to help.
I have a chip that fails the sensors at WOT and dumps the injectors at full capacity- in this case, it does help.
