SC.. Sport Coupe... aka base model. A Camaro with no special designation (RS/SS/Z28/Berlinetta) == a Sport Coupe. AKA your car.

SC stands for Sport Coupe and was the base model for many years.

Check out https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/techdb.shtml

ThirdGen SCs were made from '82-'88 and came with a V6 or a V8. There is nothing special about them. After '88 they made the RS the base model.

edit: DAMN! Tech beat me to it!

Yes! '88 Camaro 2.8/T5 SC here... love it - A/C and radio are the only two options!

I would say yes, he should have an RS.

Doward: My SC doesn't even have AC. Just the compressor bracket which is of little use to me.

Yeah.. I suppose his is an RS.. dunno why my brain was saying 90+ for RS at that moment. Really, though, for those years the RS is an SC since the RS is the base model... kinda

No, the SC doesn't have SC anywhere on it.
